In the whole world, there are concerted efforts from various sectors of government to enact tough legislation of anti-smoking because of evidence that smoking causes lung cancer and other serious illnesses. These laws are also being conducted to prevent the proliferation of second hand smoke cause’s serious disease and premature death in both adults and children. There are no further questions regarding the truth of the ill-effects of cigarettes to people who smoke and also for those who do not smoke. Venomous snakes are characterized by the structure of their fangs. For example, the African boomslang has fangs at the back of the mouth, each bearing a groove down which venom flows. The cobra has fangs at the front of the mouth, again grooved; and rattlesnakes and vipers have the most sophisticated biting apparatus: their fangs are hinged, and when they are not in use, fold back along the roof of the mouth. What is the world’s most dangerous venomous snake?
If the toxicity at the venom was the only criterion, there is little doubt that the sea snake would have pride of place. But other factors have to be taken into account in conjunction with toxicity the snake’s efficiency in injecting venom, its willingness to attack and its accessibility to man, for example. Thus sea snakes, which are dangerous only to barefooted fishermen, come far down the danger scale — if there is such a thing. The forearm is placed halfway between flexion and extension and slightly pronated (the biceps being also a supinator) and the thumb or finger on the tendon. A blow on the digit results in flexion of the forearm. The reflex arc is by way of the musculocutaneous nerve and the fifth and sixth cervical segments. The triceps reflex. The forearm is held by the examiner, partly flexed at the elbow and the tendon struck just above the olecranon process. Extension’s of the forearm results.
